Understanding the different license types and their features.

License Types Overview

The Sunsky OpenAPI Plugin is available with two license types from Envato/CodeCanyon:

Regular License

Best for single-use on a personal or client project.

  • Usage: One end product (website/application)
  • End Users: Free access only (no paid features)
  • Price: Lower cost entry point

Extended License

Best for commercial applications and SaaS platforms.

  • Usage: One end product with paid features
  • End Users: Can charge for access/features
  • Price: Higher cost, more features

Upgrading Your License

To upgrade from Regular to Extended:

  • Visit CodeCanyon
  • Purchase the Extended License upgrade
  • Receive new purchase code
  • Go to Sunsky → License
  • Click Update License
  • Enter your new purchase code
  • Extended features unlock automatically

    • License Activation

    How It Works

  • Enter your purchase code in the plugin
  • Plugin contacts license server
  • Server verifies your purchase
  • License is activated for your domain
  • Features unlock based on license type

    • Activation Limits

    Note: Both license types allow only 1 domain activation. To move your license to a new domain, you must first deactivate it from the current domain.

    Changing Domains

    To move your license to a new domain:

  • Deactivate on old domain (if accessible)
  • Or request reset via support
  • Activate on new domain

    • Verification & Security

    The plugin periodically verifies your license:

    • Checks license status daily
    • Validates domain matches activation
    • Ensures license hasn't been revoked
    • Grace period for server issues

    What Happens If License Expires

    • Warning notification displayed
    • 72-hour grace period
    • Features gradually disabled
    • Plugin enters read-only mode
